Many habitats for a single itinerary

A journey through the diverse habitats of the Po Delta Park: brackish water lagoons, beaches, dunes, pinewoods, forests, and finally the Delta itself, where the river meets the sea.

First Step: Valli di Comacchio

The Comacchio lagoons are stretches of brackish water teeming with biodiversity. Cycling along the embankments and waterways allows you to explore a landscape suspended in time, where nature, tradition, and sustainability coexist in perfect harmony.

Third Step: Oasi Canneviè and Porticino

The Cannevié and Porticino Oasis is a small brackish lagoon. Bordered by two historic lagoon huts, once used for fishing, it is home to a rich biodiversity. The flora consists of limonium and reeds, while holly oak, phillyrea, and tamarisk grow in the dry areas. The area is populated by numerous species of water birds.

Fourth Step: Sacca di Goro

Sacca di Goro is an ever-changing coastal lagoon, renowned for its clam and mussel farming. Abundant in birdlife, it is separated from the sea by the “scanno” or Isola dell'Amore, a slender strip of sand topped by a lighthouse, accessible only by motorboat.
