Nicola Piovani expresses his creativity in different musical genres
Nicola Piovani, a great pianist, composer and conductor, famous above all for his soundtracks: a number of more than 150 compositions for the best-known directors of the Italian film scene and beyond, such as Mario Monicelli, John Irvin, Sergej Bodrov, Federico Fellini, Giuseppe Tornatore, Nanni Moretti and many others. In 1999 he won the most coveted award: The Oscar for the film directed by Roberto Benigni La vita è Bella.
