At the edge of the town of Mirabello lies the entrance to the Nature Oasis, a reminder of the ancient rural landscape that once characterised the Upper Ferrara area. The oasis has been created in the former riverbed of the River Reno.

Diverse crops, cultivated using modern farming methods that allow ample space for organic production, alternate with hedgerows and long, stately rows of trees dominated by Lombardy poplars, English oaks and centuries-old mulberry trees, as well as the beautiful maceri once used for soaking hemp. A rich variety of wildlife finds refuge in this countryside: hares, pheasants, wild ducks, grey herons, birds of prey and songbirds can be observed throughout the year.

Horseback riding and riding lessons are available within the oasis.
Admission is charged, and picnicking is permitted inside the area.
