The San Paolo Dock stands as a living evidence of the direct link between Ferrara and river navigation.

Ferrara is a city whose history is inextricably linked to water. The city was founded and developed between the main course of the Po (the ancient Po di Ferrara) and the Po di Volano: a branch that still flows to the sea today, emptying into the Sacca di Goro and representing a point of natural and tourist interest.

Today, the dock is a revitalised urban space, overlooking the water and transformed into a true city waterfront. A green space and meeting place, it is ideal for strolling, relaxing in the greenery or enjoying outdoor activities.

A recently completed cycle and pedestrian path, part of a wider urban regeneration project, connects the Darsena area to the historic centre and the MEIS.

Did you know? During the summer season, the Darsena hosts cultural events and initiatives.
At sunset, it becomes a favourite spot for an aperitif by the river and serves as the departure point for boat trips along the Po.
