Cinema San Benedetto

The cinema of the Parish of San Benedetto Abate, called CINEMA SAN BENEDETTO, has been operating since 1976 and has been an important cultural landmark for the city of Ferrara for many years.

In addition to screening films, the cinema promotes festivals, meetings, cultural events and social gatherings.
A team of volunteers of all ages and a professional projectionist are responsible for programming the large theatre (396 seats), which is only open on weekends and public holidays.
The cinema also has a small bar and free parking in Piazzale San Benedetto.

The theatre also hosts musical performances, theatre shows for children and students, both in Italian and foreign languages; conferences held by the Municipality of Ferrara and the University; and, one Monday a month, cultural meetings with the famous “literary teas” that combine literature, conversation and conviviality.
