Hotel tax

The hotel tax is levied on anyone staying in a hotel or accommodation located in the Ferrara area, but thanks to MyFe Card, its holders do not have to pay for it.

The hotel tax DOES NOT apply to minors under 18 years of age.

This tax is under section 4 of Ministerial Decree no 23 of March 14, 2011 regarding “Federal-municipal Provisions”.
The City of Ferrara, administrative head of the province, instituted the law by decision of the city council and it is governed by city regulation (city council decision no. 7/13736 dated March 25, 2013). Application of the tax went into effect on June 1, 2013.
