Via San Romano

The ancient Via San Romano was the main street between the market square, now Piazza Trento e Trieste, and the port, which was then located at the other end of the street on the banks of the River Po. A commercial road since ancient times, it is the only street in Ferrara to be almost entirely covered by porticoes.
