Step: 5) “Alda Costa” Primary School

C. Savonuzzi (1932-1933) The school was built in the early 1930s to redevelop the area of the ex city hospital. The original name, dedicated to the king Umberto I, was retained until after the Second World War, when it was changed in “Alda Costa” in homage to the famous anti-fascist leader and teacher. A distinctive feature is the 37-metre-high fluted tower, which marks the end of the perspective axis of Via Giovanni Boldini.
