Po Delta Rice - IGP

Po Delta Rice – IGP is one of the most refined products of Ferrara's area, cultivated sinche the 16th century in what is known as the "Italian Camargue".

The main rice fields can be found in Jolanda di Savoia, Massa Fiscaglia, Berra and Codigoro.

Thanks to the sandy soils and the peculiar water management, rice develops a unique flavour and an ideal texture. The most common varieties are Carnaroli, Arborio, Baldo and Volano, renowned for the grain quality and the high level of protein.

Versatile in the kitchen, the Po Delta Rice is perfect for refined risottos, salads and other traditional dishes. It is also good for a balanced diet: aside from starch, it contains proteins, fibers and mineral salts.
