A vegetable with ancient roots

The origins of carrots are ancient, but it is only during the Renaissance that it starts being grown in Europe. In Ferrara's Delta, the carrot finds an ideal environment: a mild climate and plain, fertile and fresh soil.

In the past, before the land reclamation, carrots were cultivated traditionally, in among other vegetables; since the 1970s there has been a more extensive production becoming one of the main products in the area.

A variety that shows the agricultural tradition of the area and offers a unique flavour, perfect for whoever wants to discover the authentic products of the Po Delta.
