Clams "alla marinara"
Ingredients (for 4 people)
1 kg clams, olive oil, 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped parsley, salt.
Preparation
Clean the clams and get rid of the open and broken ones. Put them in a pot with salted water for at least 12 hours, changing the water multiple times to get rid of the sand. In a large pan, sear the grated garlic in little oil, add the clams, cover them and cook until they open (about 30 minutes). Throw away the ones that stay closed.
Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
They can also be used as a sauce for spaghetti.
