Madonna of the Sea Festival – Porto Garibaldi

The traditional Madonna of the Sea Festival returns to Porto Garibaldi with days dedicated to faith, maritime tradition, and entertainment for all ages. The highlight of the event is the evocative sea procession with fishing boats.

Throughout the festival there will be food stands, live music entertainment, dance evenings, activities for children, and the traditional funfair, creating a festive atmosphere that involves both residents and visitors throughout the town.

Friday, May 29th

Opening of the Food Stand at the Porto Garibaldi Parish

7:30 PM – Burraco Tournament with dinner

Saturday, May 30th

7:00 PM – Opening of the Food Stand at the Porto Garibaldi Parish

9:00 PM – Latin American evening

Sunday, May 31st

7:00 PM – Opening of the Food Stand at the Porto Garibaldi Parish

9:00 PM – Live music entertainment

Monday, June 1st

7:00 PM – Opening of the Food Stand at the Porto Garibaldi Parish

9:00 PM – Live music entertainment

Tuesday, June 2nd

12:00 PM – Opening of the Food Stand at the Porto Garibaldi Parish

Friday, June 5th

6:00 PM – Eucharistic Adoration

7:00 PM – Holy Mass dedicated to the Madonna

Saturday, June 6th

3:30 PM – Parish sports field: “Let’s Play Together!” – games and prizes for children and teenagers

7:00 PM – Solemn Holy Mass presided over by Mons. Gian Carlo Perego

Followed by a procession through the streets of the town with the statue of the Madonna, local authorities, worshippers, and the marching band

Opening of the Food Stand at the Porto Garibaldi Parish at 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM

9:00 PM – Latin American evening

Sunday, June 7th – Madonna of the Sea Festival

10:00 AM – Solemn Mass with worshippers and local authorities

10:40 AM – Procession of the Madonna statue along the canal to the fishing boat boarding point

11:15 AM – Sea procession with the launching of a wreath in memory of those lost at sea

12:15 PM – Return to the harbour and procession through the town streets

12:30 PM – Return to the Church, solemn blessing, and conclusion

9:00 PM – Live music entertainment

11:30 PM – Fireworks display
