Supervised tasting sessions and cooking lessons for adults, music, dancing and snacks for children have all been organised with the aim of showcasing the local food specialties, dinners with a rich menu with the typical produce from the area, a.k.a. the 17 Pearls of Ferrara: Garlic from Voghiera (PDO); Bosco Eliceo wines (DOC); Coppia bread from Ferrara (GPI); Pears from Emilia Romagna (GPI); Peaches and nectarines from the Romagna region (GPI); Rice from the Po Delta (GPI); Green asparagus (GPI); Eels from the Comacchio Lagoons; Ferrara-style Salami; Salama da Sugo; Clams from Goro; Melons from the Emilia region; Watermelon from the Ferrara area; Carrots from the Po Delta; Pampapato cake; "Zia Ferrarese" Salami and Pumpkin-filled Cappellaccio pasta.
Events such as themed excursions and meals, supervised tasting sessions and cooking lessons for adults, and workshops, short courses and snacks for children have been organised in each place with the aim of showcasing the local specialities from this strip of land on the outskirts of the Padana plain, tucked between the Adriatic Sea and the Po and Reno river.
