Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Poplar
In the hamlet of Ospitale stands the Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Poplar. Here in 1600, according to tradition, the Madonna appeared among the branches of a tree and spoke to a little deaf-mute girl.
The church was built in the second half of the 19th century in a Romanesque style, and holds inside many ex-votos, expecially many from the first world war, the Madonna of the Poplar having become patron saint of Aviators.
